The actor’s new chapter proves she’s evolving faster than the industry can categorize her

Picture thoughtfulness, poise, and the kind of grounded charisma you only find in someone who knows exactly who they are. Layer that with ambition, advocacy, and a talent with no ceiling—now you have Lili Reinhart. Whether she’s on your For You page with a perfectly unserious TikTok, on your nightstand via her skincare line, Personal Day, or on your screen in a binge-worthy series, Reinhart has a way of meeting her audience where they are—and that’s no accident.

Since closing out her seven-season run as Betty Cooper on Riverdale in 2023, Reinhart has been in constant motion, expanding her creative reach with intention. As both star and executive producer of the 2025 series Hal & Harper, she stepped into a world of comedy, grief, and family dynamics with striking clarity. “Executive producing doesn’t ever have a direct effect on how I play a role,” she says. “I just get to be more involved in the project as a whole.” The project immediately felt right: “Tonally, it’s exactly what my bread and butter is—things that feel incredibly raw and human.”

She carried that intuition straight into the buzzy adaptation of The Love Hypothesis, a project she also executive-produced. Reinhart wasn’t initially familiar with the book, but once she read it, the decision became obvious. “It’s not my typical genre, but I appreciate a really good romantic comedy. I felt like this was a chance to change the perception of the streamer rom-com and do something more elevated.” On set, authenticity became non-negotiable. “I tried to make the story as grounded as possible [even if it meant telling people] ‘these words don’t feel organic coming out of my mouth.’”

Then came the internet-breaking cast reveal for the highly anticipated horror, Forbidden Fruits, set to release in 2026—Victoria Pedretti, Lola Tung, Emma Chamberlain, Alexandra Shipp, Gabrielle Union. “I was dying for that one to happen,” she says. Shot almost entirely at night in Toronto, the project instantly bonded its cast. “For three and a half weeks, we were all nocturnal. You get a bonding experience when you’re losing your mind together.”

Still, Reinhart hardly needs a stacked ensemble to dominate a feed. Her TikTok presence—chaotic, sharp, unselfconscious—has earned her more than seven million followers. “I don’t take it seriously, and that’s freeing. Social media shows like 1% of my personality, and I think TikTok gives a glimpse of my sense of humor or the things that I’m into.” That same honesty fuels Personal Day, her acne-conscious skincare brand. “I experienced incredible mental health issues around my skin,” she notes. “I wanted a big pillar of our brand to be compassion and empathy since we’re made completely without acne-triggering ingredients.” Now, on the cusp of her most varied slate yet, Reinhart is embracing reinvention. “I want each project to be a complete pivot from the last,” she explains. “I want to do this for the rest of my life and have fun while I’m doing it.”
